Bamboo in collabo with Akon
Rapper Bamboo real name Simon Kimani is back in Kenya after relocating to America a few years ago. Famed for hits like Compe, Kapuka and Nipe, Bamboo said he was in New York working with “big producers” who produce super stars like Akon and Kanye West.
Bamboo revealed that he has done a collabo with Akon dubbed Mama Afrika. Apparently, top Kenyan designer Jeffrey Kimathi who is a longtime friend of Akon linked Bamboo with the Lonelysinger. Akon is known for wearing the Tusker branded T-shirt design by Kimathi and promoting Jamhuri Wear.
Bamboo’s Compe Song was used as a soundtrack in a Disney movie to which, he was paid a “six figure amount”. In the course of the week, the rapper who was featured in the film Hip Hop Colony will be releasing his new single of his yet to be launched album. Keep it here for updates on the same.
