STL shoots new video for Eurovision 2011
Stella Mwangi aka STL won the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix final held in Oslo Spectrum on February 12th. When Stella Mwangi’s song Haba Haba was chosen in this year’s Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix final, eye bows were raised. This was a controversial choice simply because for many the song did not reflect upon Norwegian music culture but showcased African culture. Despite the fact that it was a controversial choice, “Haba Haba” was one of the hot favourites from the very beginning, clouding the Norwegian airwaves and topping the local charts. “Haba Haba” had defied the odds and became an instant success. The positive message of the song, its simplicity and its catchy tune made “Haba Haba” irresistible. Stella Mwangi, who is currently in Kenya, will be shooting a video for her Eurovision entry, “Haba Haba” on April 2ndin Huk, Oslo Norway. Stella Mwangi, representative of Norway in Eurovision 2011 song contest, has requested all her fans in Europe who can attend the shoot to be there.
