Nigerian Publisher trashes D'Banj

Toyosi Akerele, publisher of the Popular Youth Magazine RISE, said D'Banj was a selfish, visionless, and over ambitious man whose only obsession was singing about his sexuality. Our suspicion is that most of this resentment stems from the interview with the Nigerian president and D'Banj's numerous escapades. D'Banj in his interview with Nigerian president,  Goodluck Jonathan did a poor job of championing the youth's cause being a default youth leader because his stature in society. He was instead star struck!  She lamented that D Banj should not be taking the Nigerian youth and African youth for granted because they drew a distinctive line between activism and action and cannot be swayed by D'Banj's selfish actions. She accussed D'Banj of trying to cash in on the 2011 Nigerian General Elections to sell his music and in doing this he is championing any politician's views for the right price. She said D'Banj should be a responsible leader who should not influence the citizenry who religiously follow him to support a politician for selfish reasons. Toyosi Akerele, who Convenes a conference yearly  that is aimed at Youth development and enlightenment, called for nationwide boycott for D'Banj shows. She said the only Nigerians who should pay for tickets to D'Banj's concerts should be Naeto C and PSquare! "Let Naeto C and PSquare watch Danj!" The Youth Magazine RISE publisher said
